Twin Flames:  The George Floyd Uprising from Minneapolis to Phoenix

MONUMENT & ART EXHIBIT
Sat, Feb. 3 - Sun, Jul 28, 2024 |

Twin Flames isn't a typical monument of granite or bronze.  A community-led exhibition, it memorializes the life of George Floyd by showcasing the offerings left at the Minneapolis public space named for him.  Twin Flames asks important questions about the role of art and community as a vehicle for bearing witness and creating deeper understanding and empathy. It also examines the state of public memorials in America, prompting us to reflect on whose stories are shared, by whom, and why.
