From the arrival of early immigrants through today, Americans of AAPI heritage have played a major role in U.S. history.  
Today, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders represent a rapidly growing segment of our population, tracing their roots to more than 20 nations.

Admission for  through the MC3@PAM program.  To participate, you must be currently enrolled; and will be required to show your official student ID to the museum at the time of ticket purchase.

To purchase general tickets online, visit .   All museum guests are eligible to pay whatever they can on Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays, from 3 - 9 pm.

Home to the Museum’s oldest objects, the collection features works spanning 1,000 years.  Art representing India, Pakistan, Iran, Nepal, Tibet, China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia, and Java comprises the collection. Through two special installations, you'll experience Japanese and Chinese works of art that uncover the delicate yet epic beauty of the natural world.

PHOENIX ART MUSEUM  |  Khanuja Family Sikh Heritage Gallery

NOW THROUGH AUGUST 2024


In the 19th century, the Sikh empire flourished in the Punjab region of northwest India. Ruled by locals in alliance with the British Raj, these states and their palatial courts attracted artists, poets, and musicians. This latest exhibition in the Khanuja Family Sikh Heritage Gallery illuminates the regal stature of the period’s Sikh rulers through examples of state portraiture, precious jewelry, and military photography.

Museum admission is $17, for most visitors.  Enter the exhibits at no additional charge.  Museum members, and children under one year of age, enter for free.  Admission into the special programs listed below is free with paid Museum admission, but space is limited. Taking inspiration from his Thai Peanut Noodle recipe, Edible Ed will show the audience how to mix up their very own sunflower Thai sauce, to enjoy over scrumptious noodles.

Make a paper flower lei in the kui style, with beads, yarn, and card stock. Learn the significance of lei in HawaiÊ»i and the protocol for making, giving, receiving, and returning your lei to the ʻĀina (land).

The garden's tranquil setting is a far cry from the bustle of campus, and downtown Phoenix, which are only a few moments away.  The space features more than 1,500 tons of hand-picked rock, stone footbridges, lanterns and more than 50 varieties of plants. Stroll the garden paths, and enjoy flowing streams, a 12-foot waterfall, and a Koi pond with over 300 colorful fish.
